Danielle Cage hadn't been back in America long, but now that she was heading home to Harlem, she needed to get in touch with a few people. She'd sent Peggy Rogers postcards from her trips around the world, one of the few friends she'd kept up with while she was away. They had a lot in common with famous parents, and being among the "normals" of the Avengers, but Peggy was still something special in being the daughter of a living legend like Captain America.
But the coolest thing about Peggy Rogers was that she was a sweet, good-hearted person. The world didn't have enough of those.
Dani drove her 2012 Ford F-350 pick-up into town and prayed no one from Jersey hit her. That would make her mad.
She reached over and pressed a button on the radio-using her hands-free to call her old friend.
"Hey, Rogers. Pick up. You'll never guess who it is."
